One Cambridge Square

One Cambridge Square is a new building at the heart of the city in a prime location that overlooks a public square and is close to a railway station and new hotel. This project is the first of many within the Cambridge North development. The 94,564 square foot building will offer a modern office environment as well as retail outlets on the ground floor.

Wates construction was awarded the main contract for this development. They asked Easi-Edge to supply 465 LM of double height edge protection barriers on this project.

Other features include areas to meet and relax, BREEAM Excellent office accommodation, VRF air conditioning, LED lighting and large floor to ceiling windows. Outside there are landscaped green spaces, a basement car park with EV charging points and 364 cycle spaces for office workers to take full advantage of the many cycle lanes in Cambridge.

One Cambridge Square will be the first of many office buildings within the Cambridge North development and it will be directly opposite the new Cambridge North railway station. This northern cluster of office parks is home to many of the world’s best known brands.

Cambridge North will transform 40 acres of derelict land into an inclusive neighbourhood which will include hotels, shops, workspaces, bars and cafes. There will also be community facilities and public open spaces. The entire project is being designed around low-carbon, walkable neighbourhoods with access to bike lanes and green spaces. Further phases of the development will look to add hundreds of new homes to help create a vibrant community.
