A new project on Station Street in Nottingham will deliver a landmark mixed-use building, located directly opposite Nottingham’s railway station and tram interchange. 11 Station Street will provide new Grade A office accommodation as well as a reception area, meeting areas and a roof garden.

The development is part of a major regeneration project in the city and this building is located directly opposite the local transport hub, which makes it ideal for commuters in the city travelling via bus or train. The prime location of the building is at the heart of the city which puts it close to amenities as well as transport links. For many visitors to the city of Nottingham, 11 Station Street is the first building that they will see when they exit the train station.

The contract for 50,000 square foot building was awarded to Bowmer and Kirkland who asked Easi-Edge to supply 1,570 LM of edge protection barriers. The £65m office development was designed by Franklin Ellis and constructed to BREEAM Excellent standard. The office accommodation will help to reinvigorate a part of the city that needed updating and was previously disused or in need of renovation.

The office space will face a new pedestrianised area on Station Street, which will offer secure basement parking and bicycle storage, 24-hour building access, and electric car charging points.

A second development on Station Street received approval from Nottingham City Council. This will see the creation of student accommodation by the Vita Group, under its Vita Student brand. The nine storey building will provide 323 beds for students at the local university.

These two buildings are backed by the canal and have a pedestrianised area at the front which will make it a challenging project for construction. This regeneration project is vital to creating an impressive and visually arresting area that welcomes visitors to the city.
