One Baltic Square

One Baltic Square is a new residential and commercial development in Liverpool. It will consist of five new buildings which will form a new urban village in the Baltic Triangle area of the city.

Legacie Developments were awarded the £50 million project, which will consist of 296 apartments, which includes a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. In addition to the apartments, there are plans for a public piazza as the centrepiece of the development, as well as four commercial units and underground car parking for residents. Additional facilities will include a reception and concierge service, roof gardens and terraces, bike storage and CCTV for security.

There will be a number of commercial units available within the buildings which could be used a coffee shops or restaurants to create a village feel for the overall development.

The five buildings will be up to seven storeys high and the decision by Legacie to use a steel framing solution was to make it more cost-effective and for speed of construction. The steel provides flexibility for the project, lowers the overall weight and it will accommodate the basement car park for residents. During construction of the five buildings, Easi-Edge supplied 1900 LM of edge protection barriers for this project.

Liverpool has reinvented itself as an important economic centre in the north west through redevelopment projects like One Baltic Square which is transforming the Baltic Triangle area of the city.

Once completed, Nexus Residential will manage the properties which will bring a new urban village and luxury accommodation to an increasingly popular area of the city. Such has been the interest in the homes that they were promoted and pre-sold before the final apartment was completed. Further developments in the Baltic Triangle are expected to include more residential opportunities.
