Safety Solution - Edge Protection Barriers

Our edge protection barriers provide a complete safety solution to working at height.

Edge Protection – Dock 5, Salford

Our safety solution conforms to BS EN13374, Class B. This means it has been tested by a dynamic load as opposed to a static load and is accredited by Lloyds British.

This means that our system confirms to the highest British Standard possible and can be used on all areas of the build including roof profiles.

We have three systems that either bolt, clamp or sit in sockets to provide an instant protection barrier.

Bolt-on System

The Bolt-on system attaches to pre-drilled holes in the web of beams, the position of the drillings is typically detailed by Easi-Edge and communicated back through for inclusion in the manufacture process.

Sacrificial System

Sacrificial sockets are on the top flange of beams, the edge protection system posts sit into the Sacrificial sockets. The Sacrificial locations are typically detailed by Easi-Edge and communicated back through for inclusion in the manufacture process.

Our system can be used to attach to structural steelwork, structural timber or concrete frames. Our in-house design team will help you choice the right system for your unique project.

Our system is easy to install, all the equipment is colour coded and each individual item is pre-set so that it is at the required length, to suit the individual design of the building.

Ground level installation is recommended where site conditions allow which means that the barriers are attached to the system type first and are then hoisted into position using a crane. While robust, the barriers are lightweight and easy to manoeuvre making them easy to install.

Edge Protection – Timber

The edge protection system can be installed to timber builds. Site can drill and fix offering flexibility to suit site requirements on installation. Ideally the Easi-Edge Timber system is installed at ground level prior to lifting the planks / cassette units into position.

Timber – Side Fix – With the use of an adaptor plate the standard Easi-Edge web-fix system can be adapted to fit on to the side edge on timber builds. 4-6 No. M8 Wood Screws per post specified and supplied by the client.

Timber – Top Fix – With the use of an adaptor plate the standard Easi-Edge surface mounted system can be adapted to fit on to the top surface on timber builds. 4-6 No. M8 Wood Screws per post specified and supplied by the client.

Timber—Soffit Fix – With the use of an adaptor bracket the standard Easi-Edge web-fix system can be adapted to fit on to the underside edge on timber builds. Typically a fitted at roof level if there is an overhang from the main build. 6 No. M8 Wood Screws per post specified and supplied by the client.
