easi-edge are the chosen suppliers of edge protection for the rebuilding of two schools: Arborfield Secondary School in Wokingham, and High Field School in Letchworth.
Dawnus will carry out the construction work at Arborfield Secondry which will cover an approximate area of 6,280m2 with additional works, such as a car park, external of the main two-storey school building.
The construction of this £26.7m contract will be carried out in phases, with easi-edge providing 1532 linear meterage of edge protection and continued safety advice throughout each of the phases. Once complete the school will house up to 1500 pupils.
The second multi-million pound project is the rebuild of High Field School in Letchworth, Hertfordshire with a new £15m facility due to open in January 2017.
Kier Construction will commence work at the end of the month, with easi-edge providing 2039 linear meterage of edge protection on site.
At both sites, the original school buildings will remain in use during the construction phase, which requires extensive safety considerations and why easi-edge have been chosen to provide the solution.
